Electron MicroscopeThere are many different types of microscopes out there. They each work differently. Each has different capabilities. How does an electron microscope work? An electron microscope uses electron waves in order to see the tiny things that you are looking at. These waves are bounced off of the object and are reflected back into a computer. Then it will return a picture based on where the waves are reflected. The machine measures how many electrons are bounced back from the image to produce the picture. Because electrons are so small we are unable to see them with the naked eye. We need an electron microscope and a computer to be able to see the object. The microscope will send the electron waves out to the object and the computer will then translate what they are bouncing off of and produce a picture of exactly what is there. The technology of the electron microscope is one that is very helpful when studying how thing work and where things come from. With out the ability to see the tiniest of objects we would not be able to do half of the research that we are able to do now. The electron microscope has a much higher magnification power than a ordinary light microscope allowing much tinier objects to be studied. This gives advances in the medical community, among many others. Because of the extreme power that this microscope has it is very sensitive. This is one that would be used in laboratories, where they could control the simplest vibrations, and magnetic fields so that they are able to maintain the equipment. The biggest advantage of the electron microscope is the fact that it allows us to research and see objects that are much smaller than a light microscope could ever let us see. This gives us insight into many different research communities, and helps us to grow and lear more. It is important that the electron microscope is not a light microscope. It is not one that you can carry around with you. This is an expensive microscope that is beneficial for the scientific and research communities. With out the abilities that it posses we would not know most of the information about the human race that we currently know. |
